I bought this coat in raspberry last year after buying the vest in chalk blue. Loved the vest and then decided to purchase the coat. The color is beautiful so I ordered another vest in the raspberry. I love the faux fur trim and all three items keep me warm all winter long. The fit is perfect and true to size. I have been stopped and asked where I got the coat on more then one occasion. I'm proud to say LL Bean. People ask me to bring my catalogs to work which I do but I tell them to just go on line to buy or call, it's so easy. Thanks LL Bean.
I love this coat!!!! I've had it for a year now and it's honestly the warmest and most comfy coat I own. I have 2 others from LLBean but I look forward to brutally cold days to slip into it. The length for me is a bit above my knee but longer than mid thigh ( I'm 5'3). This length helps keep me warmer on those bitingly cold days. I have to be outside for several hours a day at work so it has definitely seen use in the last year. Sizing does run big. I ordered a medium and it was plenty roomy. 20 lbs later it still fits ( imagine my surprise). Overall I can't live without this coat and it's light enough I can drive in without sacrificing warmth.
I absolutely Love everything about this jacket! I ordered a PS and it fits perfect for my 5' 120lb frame. It is pretty cold in Chicago already (Mid November) and I'm constantly running in and out of the house taking my kids to school, picking them up, etc... and it has been pretty windy and COLD out and this light weight jacket is a dream! Great at blocking the blustery wind coming off the lake front (which can be brutal at times), the sleeves are a perfect length, the down is exceptionally warm, the hood is great at keeping my head protected, and as other people have said that it has no shape, this is something I find to actually be very comfortable, I'm not out for a fashion show on the street, I'm looking to be warm and comfortable and this jacket does exactly that plus it is very nice looking in my opinion and a beautiful brown color. I love the closure around the neck and face area with the velcro it does a great job at protecting without the need for a scarf (another plus for me). One thing I particularly am a fan of is the underarm area of the jacket, as with most petite coats it is usually pretty restricted....not so in this case, there is plenty of space and I just LOVE that! I would definitely recommend this jacket!
This coat is light weight but very warm; the 3/4 length is perfect and the removable hood is great for wind protection. I don't care for the fur trim on the hood but it zips off which is a great feature. Wish it came in more color choices. All my friends want the same coat!
