I bought this coat for myself to replace an LLBean winter coat that had been my father's. Originally ordered it and was quoted a3 month lead time. It showed up about two weeks after I ordered, so I was happy. I got it just in time for the crazy amount of snow we got up here in Boston. This coat kept me warm and dry. One caveat which does not bother me but might you. Lining is fleece which means that it will pull your sweater sleeve up your arm when putting on the coat. If this is a concern to you them pick another LLBean coat. Otherwise this is a great coat.
Got it...tried it...will return it.....Jacket looks great......but the liner sleeves are way to much hassle....liner sleeve "pops" out of shell cuff long before hand appears.....liner sleeve comes out of the shell sleeve when taking jacket off....even when wearing just a long sleeve cotton shirt w/o sweater...liner sleeve needs to be lined w/smooth taffeta. Another great idea with bad execution.
Sorry, I usually enjoy items from LL Bean immensely. But, this sale jacket was a definite disappointment. The size ordered was a Large and the one received was maybe a Medium. Pretty poorly manufactured, as well. Compared to the regularly priced one I had purchased for a Christmas present a few weeks earlier, it was hard to believe it was even the same jacket.
Caution: Jacket is made one size smaller than marked. Order one size larger for proper fit. Never encountered this problem with LL Bean before. Very disappointed!
