This is a great jacket. I purchased one for my teenaged son, and he loves it. It did run a little small, so we returned the first and ordered a second one in a larger size. The only complaint, as also made by other reviewers, is that the fleece lining of the sleeves makes getting it on over a sweater rather difficult.
Thanks for your patience; I wanted to use the jacket prior to writing this review. Finally we had some typical Central Texas weather--Variable. Within one hour we had drizzle, rain, sleet, and a temperature drop of about 20 degrees. This was a good chance to give the jacket and insert a trial. It performed well--just as it should have. The insert was comfortable until the rain and lower temperatures came; then the shell provided protection from the rain/sleet and cold, northerly wind. Overall, I am quite pleased with this purchase. Nice and warm with liner; nice to wear as a rain jacket without the liner. Love the inside pockets, and the zippers on the outside pockets. Only problem is that the fleece liner is difficult to put on over flannel shirts.
I had not read the reviews before I bought this jacket. Had I read them I probably would not have bought it. The jacket looks nice but is not very user friendly as they say. The inside gets pushed up in the sleeves when you put it on and does not ever get really comfortable while wearing it. I have seperated the liner from the outer jacket and I have decided to keep it because of that. Even on sale it was not worth the money. I can see why they put it on sale.
