Light and comfortable but a major defect is that the fleece liner sleeves make it hard to put on and take off. The fleece always bunches at the wrist and it's hard to smooth out.
I bought this coat for my husband for Christmas. When it first came, I was a little afraid the XL was not going to be big enough thru the shoulders. He seems happy with the fit. The sleeves are ample long enough without being too long. He is a truck driver and has other very warm coats, but they all are bulky and long and he ended up sitting on them thus causing restraint in movement. This jacket sits on or just above the hips with no danger of having to sit on it. The last few days have been in the teens to single digits. He says he has not gotten cold a single time. He also quit wearing thermal shirts underneath because he said he got too hot. The only negative he has mentioned and it seems to be the same with a lot of other reviews, the lining wants to bunch up inside when putting your arm in or taking your arm out. I haven't looked at it closely yet, but am hoping to be able to possibly add a piece of velcro to the lining and the shell just inside the cuff to help hold it in place. If the manufacturer could alleviate this problem, I don't know that you could possibly not be happy with this jacket.
this jacket has a very snug fit with liner in it.very cozy and warm and it does defy the harsh cold elements.i will give it at least a four star rating for its warmth and breathability.
This is a great jacket. You get more for your money with a 3-in-1. The inner layer is soft and warm. The two layers paired together are even warmer. I love the outer layer which blocks the wind and is waterproof. The outer layer can be worn with a fleece vest as well. This jacket is the only jacket you need since there are so many wearing options.
