This fitness fleece is just right. I wanted a LIGHTWEIGHT fleece and this is it! The description says it is slightly fitted and it is just that. Sizing runs true to size for a slightly fitted item--I normally wear a size 8 and the "small" fits me as expected. I like having zippered pockets and the ever so slightly longer length, and the flattering princess seams in front and back giving it a hint of shape. I was wondering why the inside was whitish [I bought the pinkish color] but then realized that it is "heathered." I hope that future fleeces like this will come in some more cheerful colors.
I've had several fitness fleece jackets for years. They have been comfortable and dependable. Recently I purchased another fitness fleece jacket, the gray/white print one. It is attractive and was comfortable when I tried it on. However, the fabric is about half as heavy as in my older ones. More importantly, the stitching is serged and this gives the top a cheap look. I realize that serging in a faster, less expensive form of fabric construction, but I think it detracts from the look of the piece. I will keep this jacket, but won't be ordering any more, especially at the current price.
I purchased this in the Peony Heather color and love it. Just what I needed for biking, walking and hiking in NH in the fall. I wish this simple, lightweight version were available in safety orange, though, for added visibility when hiking during hunting seasons. The weight is perfect. I wear it over a long-sleeved running shirt and am warm enough on a 45-50 degree (F) day. Fits well, just roomy enough without being overly loose, and even though sleeves are usually too long on me, I don't have that problem with this jacket, even though I ordered a regular instead of petite in order to have enough length in the body. I was concerned that it might be static-y, but I had no problems at all with static.
The sleeves are just too short in the plus sizes. It was a great weight for early fall until the weather got cold. I can see it working well in southern states.
