I love LLBean's Fitness Fleece for spring and fall weather in New York State. It's just the right warmth. The fit is even nicer than the pullover (1/4-zip) with vertical lines offering a slimming appearance, and the hip length is a pleasant change from ever-present cropped-style jackets.
I wish it came in more-saturated colors; this year's colors are on the paler side. Flag Blue is lighter than it appears on the website; I was expecting something approaching a light royal shade (as in an American flag!) but received a medium toned sky blue.
As a 5' 3 1/2" woman, this fleece is TOO LONG!! Many other characteristics are great: full zipper, pockets, weight. I wish there were a Petite version, about 4" shorter.
I love all LL Bean fleece, but the sleeves are 2 " too long when compaired to my older fitness fleece jacket of the same size (L). The sizing is just not the same. The longer length in the body is OK, but not in the sleeves. The color is much lighter than seen on the web page. Since I know it will not shrink enough to fit in the arms....will have to return. Please consider petite sizing in the near future. I will reorder the same jacket then .
This is my third Fitness Fleece, Jacket. I just purchased another black one. My old one is still good but worn so I wanted a nicer looking one. I wear it all year long-as a jacket in spring and fall and around the house in the winter. I like it better than the pullover version because of the pockets!
