I own one of these and gave the blue to two women as gifts, one notoriously hard to please, and both loved them. They are lightweight, sleek looking, and well made.
This jacket was just what I needed for a recent trip where temps were in the 50s at night. Perfect weight, easy to carry with me. Will also get much use out of it as something to throw on after a gym workout when the temps are chilly.
This fleece is thin, making it a great layering piece. Even though it is thin, it is still very warm, even after several washings. It is extremely practical, but I wouldn't necessarily call it stylish. I have worn these for several years and recently bought two more. The overall length on the new ones seems to be about an inch longer, which I like. I'm 5'7" and as always, the LL Bean sleeves are long enough to cover my arms comfortably.
I have 3 of these terrific fleece jackets. I have worn them in the gym when it's cold, as a sweater under a jacket and for travel. When traveling, the fleece is neat and tidy. The black jacket can look quite "formal", yet it stuffs into a backpack and comes out without a wrinkle. Finally, the zipper pockets are perfect for getting through airports with a photo ID and boarding pass, as well as for carrying a room key at your destination.
