I bought 2 of these jackets a couple years ago and love them so much I've almost worn them out. I just bought 2 more and was very disappointed. The jacket -- though it has the exact same name and description -- is completely different. First of all, it's much larger and longer. Secondly, it's make from a completely different material. My older ones are thick and feel soft. These new ones are puffy and feel really cheap. They look more like pajamas than a nice fitness fleece. Still deciding whether to return them, but I most certainly won't be ordering any more.
I own two of these fitness fleece jackets from previous years, and ordered a celery green one just before Christmas. I'm 5'3", 122 lbs. and normally wear a Misses, Xtra-Small. They all fit beautifully,close to the body without being tight, and hit just at top of my hip.I really like these jackets for being light weight but warm, and non-pilling for a long time.
Today I received the fitness fleece I recently ordered on sale in Plum Tart colour, again in Misses Xtra-Small. The jacket looked long when I took it out of the package. When I tried it on, it came well down to below my bottom, so I got out my measuring tape. This jacket is two inches longer from the underarm seam to the bottom hem than my previous three jackets, and the sleeves one inch longer! The body is also fuller. Needless to say, I'm extremely disappointed!
Being in Canada, it is a hassle to return it. I'm just hoping this is a manufacturing mistake, and not a new direction for the sizing of this jacket, otherwise LLBean may have to consider adding Petite sizing for this item.
