The jacket is soft and the color is pleasing, but it's a bit too lightweight for my taste. I was expecting a slightly thicker fleece.
In addition, the stitching along the zipper line wasn't as flat as I was expecting. Instead, the material seemed to bunch up slightly along the seam line.
This was only the case, however, for one of the two jackets I ordered. The Pastel Lilac had the stitching issue, but the Tidal Blue one did not.
I love fitness fleece .It's the perfect weight for late spring to early fall in New England. It is also great for layering under a winter jacket. I have this jacket in 5 colors but use the black most and ivory second most because they go with everything. I've noticed that each year they change the shade of some colors to keep things interesting. My big complaint is that the sleeves are not long enough especially after a few washings. You can see this in the online picture. The sleeves are too short on the model! I tend to push the sleeves up to my elbows so it"s not as noticeable. I would also like it to be a bit more fitted and a tiny bit longer. It's just a little boxey. But I still love it anyway.
I expected this to have a trim fit. I'm a bit curvy and like to have things come in at the waist and through the back. This was very boxy on me. The sizing was definitely too large; a smaller size might fit better but I'm returning this one.
I bought this in navy a couple years ago since I loved my other half-zip fitness fleece. I'm a marathoner and this is great for warming up. Down here in the South, it doesn't get too cold, but this is just enough for those first couple miles when there is a nip in the air. The fit is a bit boxy in comparison to most running fleeces, so I don't think I could wear it for long runs (10+miles), but it's just right for warming up and cooling down. For non-technical clothing that is not intended primarily for running, it performs very well.
