I have purchased 3 of these since they first came out. They are a very nice light-weight layer for a cool summer evening. I like them better than taking a bulky cardigan or jacket. I like the weight of the fabric, it isn't as thick as "winter" weight fleece. My favorite to bring when I go to nighttime baseball games! My only complaint was the "black" was more of a charcoal, but there was no problem with exchanging for a different color. Fairly fitted, so order one size up if you are going to layer underneath. I just got the teal (back-ordered) and I love the color.
I was looking for a fleece jacket to wear here in London while the weather wasn't too cold. I thought this jacket would be perfect and I was really excited because L.L. Bean finally had jackets big enough for me. My father and Step-mother bought me this jacket as well as a few more items that I absolutely adore. This jacket was the only exception. I loved it at first, it was soft and warm and perfect for London weather. However, after a few weeks the inside of the sleeves where my elbow goes started to get a little rough. I didn't think anything of it until it started to make it difficult to wear the jacket. I washed it in the hopes that it was just a fluke, but it wasn't. In fact, after I washed the jacket more little irritating fuzz balls popped up all inside the jacket. I have never had this happen with a fleece before. I figured it was because the inside of the jacket was not actually fleece like my previous L.L. Bean fleece, it was a smooth polyester fabric that turned into a nightmare. I plan on exchanging this jacket for something different. I honestly love L.L. Bean and I was really disappointed when this happened.
