The fleece is EXTREMELY light. I also found it tends to cling to what's under it. Unfortuntately I got the hooded fleece, and the hoods literally "hangs" on my head, lifting the jacket off my shoulders. A friend said it looks like a babushka. Do not get the hooded one; if you need a hood you need a heaier fleece. This is the worst fleece I have. Would not recommend. Construction is good, but fabric is awful. Wish I had returned it.
I bought this fleece for Christmas for my sis-in-law who normally wears a S. But she needed an XS. I normally wear M but tried the fleece on and the S fit. So, I kept it for myself and ordered her another one! I like the fleece alot, it is lightweight, soft and comfy. I would just order one size smaller than you normally wear in t-shirts.
I had one one of these fitness weight fleece jackets for years, and it held up great! I lent it to a friend, who never returned it, so needed to replace this important layer in my winter attire. I ordered the same exact jacket, but it is now made with a completely different material -- it isn't fleece on the inside, but a shiny poly material that is slick rather than plush. I don't know if the standard fleece materials was no longer available, or if they decided that this was a better choice, but I returned mine, and light-weight fleece jacket-less ever since.
I LOVE this jacket and now have three of them. They are a perfect fit for me; I love the princess styling. The light weight is just right for indoors in a cool house, grocery store, or for a fall afternoon, they wash more easily than a sweater, and they are lightweight enough to wear under a heavier jacket. I wear them year-round. I wish there were a navy blue option!
