I'm nuts about LL Bean. I have linens, clothing, Boat and Totes, Bean boots, robes/pjs: you name it, I've purchased it. This jacket is a let-down. First of all, I generally wear an XL in most of my upper-body clothing, from this retailer as well as the large retailer located in Wisconsin. The one I purchased is a 1X, and it barely fits across my bustline. Sleeve length is good, zippers are good, cut is decent, and I like the princess seaming. What is the big disappointment is the fabric. It's just cheesy. Very soft and nice on the outside, but just pure woven polyester on the inside. I thought it would be fleecy on both sides, therefore increasing the "snuggle-and-cozy" factor. At the same time I purchased this, I purchased a fleece lined flannel shirt from this retailer, which I LOVE. I also own an LLBean fleece vest, and, it, too is too small. Why are the polarfleece and microfleece products running so small? This jacket washes well, but it seems to "hold" a perspiration odor more than the fleece-lined flannel shirt. It's a disappointment.
I wanted a light fleece jacket that I could wear under a coat in the winter. I live in Saskatchewan where it can be 30 below or colder. This jacket has zipper pockets which I love because it keeps things safe, and its light enough to fit easily under any of my winter coats.
I bought the tarragon and love the colour. I will be ordering another one pretty soon. It will also be perfect for cool evenings in the summer etc.
I am very pleased with this fleece. Not only is it a great fit, but it is very lightweight and warm!! I love the full zip and the zipper on the sleeve. makes for a great walking fleece to store my keys, ipod,etc. I am planning on ordering more in different colors. Excellent product!
I love these jackets. They're perfect for plane travel. They're not bulky, so you can stuff them in a carry-on and pull them out when it gets chilly. Here in the South, they make a nice light jacket when evenings get cool. Seams down the front give a slimming look, too.
