I have been wearing fitness fleece jackets for many years. I love the styling and consistency of the fit. It is so nice to be able to order an item the next season and still be the same fit. I wear the 1X and am glad that the sleeve length is not too long. At 5"4", I border on needed petite sizing and many jackets are just too long in the body and sleeve length. I have been hoping for more neutral color selections like a GRAY HEATHER AND CHARCOAL. I get tired of wearing my black and ivory when I cannot match a shirt, etc. to my other specific color jackets. Also a turquoise( lighter than the dk teal, but darker than some of the other blue selections in the past) would be great! I love to wear these on cool days golfing or just to throw on in the house because they are so lightweight, soft and comfortable.
This is a very lightweight fleece material that the jacket is made from. I didn't care for how thin the material is because I like to wear fleece jackets over a long sleeved T and this just seemed too thin a jacket to look good over a T shirt. I ordered the comfort fleece instead and am much happier with that one. It's a thicker fleece material.
I won't echo all of the complimentary things that other reviewers have said. I think that this jacket is a great layer to wear when you don't want to look dressy, but do want to look halfway decent - like with jeans and a tee shirt en route to the grocery store.
The jacket, however, does seem to run a bit small. In Bean clothes, I'm typically a size 10 or a Medium. In this, I definitely needed a Large.
ProsDurable, Comfortable, right for warmer climates
Just ordered another jacket for my wife. For those us us who no longer live in cold country, this has the ideal weight for cool morning walks (mid 50's) and more practical than the all or nothing protection of a pullover as the day begins to warm. Great for layering while hiking as well. That said, it's boyond me why this jacket is no longer offered in mens sizes. Hint!
