Finally replaced a much older fitness fleece. I'm 5'2" and 112 lbs. The petite small fits fine, a little bit loose in the body. It's 24 1/2 inches long from high point of shoulder to bottom of hem, 20 inches wide across chest just under arms, and 18 inches for sleeve inseam from under arm to wrist. The older fleece was a small regular-no petite size back then- and is actually shorter by 1 1/2 inches and a little more tapered through the body than the new one. I think it's a perfect weight for weather in the 60's, and it's great to layer under a heavier fleece or rain jacket. I always take it when traveling.
I like the Fitness Fleece jacket a lot. It is not bulky and has a feminine, trim fit--even in Plus sizes. It is a nice length, and it washes and dries well. Some have complained that it is not warm enough, but I disagree (of course, where you are and what you are doing make the difference). To me, it is just the right warmth, weight, and bulk--it doesn't take all the room in a small suitcase the way others do. Plus, it's a nice warmth for airplane passengers. If you need something warmer, you can add a vest and not look like a snowman. My only complaint is that L.L. Bean has not been restocking them in my size for several months, and I have been waiting for some spring colors as all they have had lately is Black, which I already own. I hope they are not discontinuing them!
I like the fit and look of this jacket, as well as the idea of a lighter weight fleece, but the inside is smooth, almost slick, and feels cold against my skin. So when I've put it on, needing a little warmth, it doesn't do it for me. So, I hope to figure out the right circumstance to wear it
