I am really enjoying this fitness fleece jacket. The plum color is bright and comforting. It's warm and cozy without a lot of bulk. I just wish that it came in petite sizes. I had to shorten the sleeves to fit me better.
The fabric is so wonderfully soft to the touch, almost like cashmere, so soft. The color is great. The problem is that even after a couple of washings, it continues to pill and shed on my other clothes and especially on my seatbelt in the car! I worry that as it's loosing those fibers it will become so thin that it won't be warm enough or last long. I think I'll return it and exchange it for the next price point up for a sturdier, warmer version of fleece. Now I see that others have had this same complaint. Hurray for the wonderful customer service at LLBean!
I am training for a 1/2 marathon and bought this to wear while running. This fleece is great at wicking moisture and keeping you warm, however sometimes its a little too warm for me. The sleeves are a little short for me, if it was made in a tall I would have bought that one. Previous buyers mentioned pilling which I have also noticed. I didnt dry mine hoping that it would help but that was not the case.
Overall a good product but some minor tweaks would make it great!
I ordered this with the intent of wearing it around the house as an extra layer, and was excited to have a zip up fleece that I wouldn't have to pull over my head. I ordered a medium (which for all my measurements should fit perfectly, and has before with the fleece lined hoodie), and it is baggy enough that I could wear a bulky sweater underneath. I have washed it once hoping it would shrink a bit, but being 100% polyester it didn't. The fleece did, however, turn my seat-belt green on a four hour car trip, and continues to shed, even after more washing. For the price I paid, I expect to love it, and I don't...I'll be returning it soon.
