Over the past several years I have purchased several of these great LL Bean Fitness fleece jackets. I am addicted to the super soft feel of the fleece, and I prefer the jacket style without the hood, as it is more versatile for indoor use. I wear one of these almost every day indoors throughout the Fall and winter, as it is a light weight warmth without making me too warm. This is the only weight that doesn't make me sweat! It is just the right fit without being tight. I can wear a light wicking layer underneath, and I often pair it with the packable Primaloft jacket for outdoor snowy walks in central New York. I usually buy a 12 in tops, and the Large fits well for my purposes. The Twilight color is my favorite color to combat the dreary winter, but I also love my black one quite well because it goes with everything. Great tops for traveling, as they insure that you will always have a snuggly layer to add or remove easily.
I bought this as a gift in a size small for someone who usually wears small in LLBean clothing. This was tiny! It looked like it was made for a child. We had to return the item. The fiery red is a beautiful color, though.
This fleece started off nice, but after a couple washes it started pilling and looking really old. I've worn it a handful of times but it mostly just hangs in my closet because I liked the color (orange) but it just doesn't measure up well against my other fleeces which still look newer even though they get much more wear.
A few years ago, I ordered this jacket in white. I wrote a review stating that I was disappointed in it's light weight. I kept it, and quickly learned to love it. Actually it is the perfect weight for me. I wear it the most of any jacket I own. Now I am buying one in blue and recommending it to anyone who needs a jacket for outerwear on warmer days and layering on colder ones.
