Ordered this lightweight fleece jacket in black to wear as something in between casual and formal with black pants and bright shirts. Fit is perfect and material so soft and inviting. So I ordered a second one in rose and a new shirt to go with it!
My motto: you can't have too many LL Bean Fitness Fleece products! I love the three quarter zips as well as this full zip. The full zip is more versatile, as it is handier to take on and off. I know the fleece will launder well, will not pill and will last for years. The fitness fleece is soft and is great for layering whether on the trail or about the house. I added this fleece to my collection because I didn't have this color, which appealed to me.
have bought fitness fleece jackets for years...this Large has shoulders exactly the same width as the three year old Medium. Also sleeves are cut narrower so limits the bulkiness of your first layer underneath. still love the fleece although it is a bit heavier than before....loved that the fitness fleece was not too hot in the past....this slightly heavier fleece is still not as thick as the comfort fleece. would definitely size up if you need the shoulder room, makes the waist a bit baggier but can't stand pulling in the shoulders.
