I bought one of these jackets in a Regular Small about 2 years ago and loved it. The fabric was soft. The jacket was warm for its weight. And the sizing was great. A casual jacket that was trim and fitted -- I wore it everywhere on errands and casual evenings. So this year I bought two more. What a disappointment. The fabric seems cheaper, and I've already got small snags and pulls on both jackets. But worse, the sizing seems to have been significantly increased. At least two inches longer in the length, the sleeves are longer, and it's baggier all around. These are not size Small, more like Medium. I should have returned them, but didn't get around to it. So now, instead of two sharp jackets I could wear out in the world and look stylish, I have two more schlumpy things to wear to the dump.
I already had a pullover fitness fleece & wanted to try this zip jacket style. It fits well & the cut & styling are great - not to mention a nice weight that's just enough - will be a good alternative to the hoodie I generally live in!
While our Florida winters won't amaze any northerners with the cold, they can get chilly, and require some amount of layering.
This jacket is a pretty good addition to the winter wardrobe down here: full-zip to allow venting, ample sizing to allow for underlayers, a thin fabric so as not to be too hot, and a soft hand.
With a turtle or a long-sleeved t, this "jacket" would be good into the upper 50's, or around the house. Other fleece garments would do better for colder temperatures, but they would also be much bulkier.
