I purched the deepest violet fleece, and loved it so much, that I got another one in ivory. I may get more!! The weight is perfect to wear over a shirt. I work at a hopital, in Cardiac Rehab., so, the temperature seems to vary, depending on where you are. It is soft and comfortable, but looks neat enough for work. I have gotten many compliments on it. The price is awesome for the quality. LLBean, never seems to disappoint. It comes out of the dryer wrinkle free, and is true to size. I love all the colors, and yes, it would be great as a "fitness fleece", as it is named!
I first purchased the medium size (I am a small 34 size 6) based on other reviews. However, I sent it back for the size Small which is perfect and still allows plenty of room for a long-sleeve t-shirt underneath.
I actually got 2 of these jackets - black and teal - and took the black one with me on a recent trip. Wore it almost daily since the weather had begun to get chilly and it's a perfect cover up for the plane ride. I also wear these jackets to the gym and for walking the dog. In fact, they've become my favorite thing to throw on now the mornings and evenings are cool.
I didn't find the fabric "spongy" as someone else described, but rather, just a very lightweight soft fleece. I appreciate the two side zippered pockets also, slightly standup collar and the tapered fit. Very nice and highly recommended.
I LOVE these. I have a ton of the half zips and just bought a jacket, which I live in. They are great for everyday wear and running in and out of the car to shops, etc. on cold days. I can't have enough of these fleeces!
