The fabric is thin but warm. I have it in a citrus orange and the color is very flattering. If you get a light color, a darker color shirt underneath will show through. It is very long-waisted, so it is great for walking (good back coverage). But it does bunch a bit when sitting for a long time. I unzip it if I'm sitting in the car. It is slimming and pretty for exercise wear. Very stretchy. It is close-fitting, so lumpy clothes underneath will show. I use it with thin shirts and slim pants or shorts.
Love this jacket, very lightweight and warm, take up very little room. It does run small - suppose to be snug I guess - I bought a size bigger and it is perfect.
