Over a short or long sleeved tee, this is a perfect layer for the active person. It is light weight but provides the warmth of a sweater and then fits easily into a backpack if the day warms up. I have found these so excellent for both indoor and outdoors in mild weather that I now own 5 in different colors. Perfect for traveling. the zip pockets provide a secure place for camera, phone or wallet. Non-restrictive sizing allows for easy movement. The only change I would suggest is that they offer even more colors!
I've just purchased a 3rd color of these jackets. I wear them throughout the cool/cold months here in the Colorado foothills. They are my daily "uniform" over a l/s tee for wearing in the house (heating bills are high, so our house temps are low!). The jacket also works great as a layer under a parka. I love all the pockets -- as a dog owner & walker, I keep pockets stuffed with extra bags, tissues, etc. I WISH WISH Bean would offer this jacket again as a vest! That vest has been the most versatile garment EVER. Mine is quite limp from wear, but I won't give it up -- not until Bean brings them back! PRETTY PLEASE!??
This is a great jacket - I ordered the dark teal color and it's perfect for fall. The fit is great too - I'm 135 lbs and 5'0 and the Petite Medium is perfect - with a little room for layering. I love this jacket and will probably order more!
