This fleece is so soft and is perfect for that extra layer and for various activities. It's great for spring when there is still a chill in the morning, but warms up by noon, it's lightweight, and has pockets inside and outside. Outside pockets have zippers. Nice color selection, too.
I had been wearing the same worn-out hooded sweatshirt to the gym for years when I decided to try the LL Bean fitness fleece. I liked the first one I bought so much I went out and bought two more. It is warm without being heavy; great under a jacket or on its own; launders great. As a frequent flyer. I also like to wear it on a plane to take the chill off. Wonderful product for the price!
I bought this to wear in Florida. First time I wore it the shedding of the pile was terrible. Got all over what I was wearing and all over pocketbook. Washed and dried but nothing noticable on lint filter in dryer. Second time I wore the jacket the pile got all over my clothes again and seat belt. Did not notice the seat belt until later that nite when I went out on a " special occassion" dressed up in black and the lint was transferred all over my clothes. No lint brush lurking in the car. A mess. I am at a loss and thinking of bring it back to you. Otherwise the weight is just what I want and I love the color and feel of jacket....
This is a fantastic light as a feather jacket for before and after workouts, for light jogs or walks, or when you want a soft light jacket. It is surprisingly warm for it's weight. I am 5'1" and find the sleeve length (about mid palm) and jacket length great even though not petite sizing. If there was a pants with pockets in petites, it would be a perfect outfit.
