I have purchased at least three of these fitness fleece zipper front jackets. I really loved them at first - they looked good and often took the place of wearing a sweater. However, by the end of a wearing season, the outside fleece looked OK but the inside was no longer very soft and often full of fuzz balls and lint (no dryer.) Aside from this drawback, they are a nice addition to any wardrobe. Just know that you may only get one season's wear out of them.
On our recent trip to Freeport, we bought my wife yet another Fitness Fleece. These have been a favorite of hers and I'm thinking that this latest purchase is her sixth or seventh. The fit has been consistent as has the quality of material and construction over the half dozen plus years since she purchased her first one. Although she primarily wears it for exercise and casual around-the-house activities, she has on occasion worn it out shopping without hesitation or reservation about it's being stylish.
This jacket is soft, light and flattering as casual wear with jeans or shorts, or casual dress with dress pants. It's fitted enough to look neat, yet loose enough not to cling at all. I bought one last year and travelled to Russia, Kyrgyzstan, New Zealand and Australia as well as Colorado, Virginia, Tennessee, New York and Florida (to use in air conditioning). I wore it almost every day in all types of weather. It was a layer when it was snowing and cold, and in spring and summer I wore it with light shirts. In very cold I wore it over long johns, shirt and sweater and under two jackets, with a winter coat on top and it didn't add bulk. It's perfect for travel because it's casual enough to wear every day, but dressy enough to take to conferences - of course, not formal things, but it's so versatile.
Here in the States I take it everywhere in the summer for extra warmth in air conditioning.
As long as you're not travelling somewhere really cold like Russia, it's fabulous as your one layering piece for travel. It's light and doesn't take up much space in your suitcase. The navy goes with all my clothes. I've just ordered another navy one.
I love this little jacket! It fits nicely in Medium....my usual size. I like that it is not loose...and yet not clingy either...perfect!
I haven't decided what to put in my little zip pocket on the sleeve....but love the other two zip pockets for smart phone and keys, both necessities on walks.
This jacket is lightweight so I'll choose my Polartec L.L. Bean fleece for colder days. However, this Fitness Fleece jacket keeps me warm in chilly offices, grocery stores and outside on early Fall days.
