I have 4 of the fitness fleece, from the past seasons. I like them because they are tapered and not boxy, match up nicely with Pima tees, and the full zipper is easy on/off. I'd really like to see some pretty spring/summer colors, and not just the muted heather colors.
I love these tops. I use them to wear over a tee shirt when I exercise. They pack well for layering for vacation and travel. The colors are wonderful. I own several.
Like other reviewers i bought this to replace a beloved older fleece. I don't know where LLBean is sourcing their fleece from but it is a far cry from the previous. This is very thin which i could live with as a summer fleece. BUT i can't stand material that pills! Not only does it look bad, but when it happens to the inside of the fabric, it just feels creepy. As a very long time LL Bean customer I expect better from this wonderful company.
Over the past 7 or 8 years, I've purchased at least 12 of Bean's Fitness Fleece items (both1/4-zip and full-zip) in a wide variety of colors. My most recent purchase of this item was disappointing. The cut and fit are still very nice, but I the fabric is a lot thinner and the interior side of the fabric is a lot 'slicker' (not as warm feeling) than my previous jackets. I much prefer the original, more plush Fitness Fleece fabric! In the past, I gave this item 5 stars, but I'm lowering my rating to 3 stars ("average") because of the change in fabric and increase in price.
