I've purchased several of these, in various colors, and LOVE them much better than sweaters. They are lightweight, but warm, and very easy to machine wash.
Sizing is a big snug, so I ordered a size larger than I normally wear so that I don't look like a stuffed sausage in them!
I LOVE this fleece. I have 11 of them in different colors and styles (1/4 zip full zip and pull over) I am usually a warm person and sometimes just need that extra layer that is not too heavy and still breathes. I use them for travel because they are lightweight and pack easy as a just in case jacket, especially on planes if it is cool, or my destination is usually warm, but experiencing a cold spell. I keep one in the car for when the sun goes down and it gets chilly. I could add more, but will say this, I need advance warning if this item is to be discontinued as I will need to stock up! P.S. I live in New England.
I read the reviews and took a few minutes to choose the color or what but I ordered the orange/red color. It is really cute color and I love this so much. It had a zip problem so I called customer service and they sent another one. 2nd one came just in time. Thank you SO much L.L.Bean!!! I was able to wear this jacket for our Grand canyon trip!!! It has been closed by US Government. For the care, I washed it once (put it a laundry net) but I didn't have any problem.
I have been shopping at LLBean for years. Never complained before. I have bought many of these fitness jackets in the past cause they were perfect for everyday wear. But the last 4 that I purchased were awful. Much longer than the former -- very matronly and not chic at all. The material is flimsy, not substantial like the original ones. The zipper just curls on both sides when not zippered. All in all -- it looks cheap, flimsy, and I won't wear them out of the house. I had washed them thinking it might help pull them together, but it didn't help. Now I can't return them. One of my favorite tops, has been downgraded so much. Not the LLBean quality I've been used to. I call them housework jackets now, cause I wouldn't be seen in the last 4 I purchased. The previous eight were cool and sharp looking.
