LOVE this jacket. Bought it in Navy and though it said it was backordered and I expected a wait -- I received soon after I ordered. Keep in mind: it's the Fitness Fleece which is lighter weight than regular fleece. The smoothness of the inside material helps the jacket glide over sweaters, fleece or whatever. The side seams are great as they help nip in the waist ever so slightly. The little zip pocket on arm is sporty. Love the longer length. My only hitch is it runs big. There's an odd poof at the belly. If I keep it pulled down flat, it seems OK. (Hoping I can shrink it a little.) I think most LL Bean clothes are roomy (which also makes them comfy) but on my small frame (5"2") can be dowdy or overwhelming. I am a true size 4 but with vanity sizing these days, I'm a 2. I ordered XSmall but really could use an XXS which is just plain silly. Overall, I find myself reaching for this jacket on a daily basis.
I have been ordering the fitness fleece jackets for many years. The fit is still great and the color selection is awesome but the quality of the material has gone downhill in the last couple of years. The older ones that I have owned withstood many washings without pilling. The new ones seem to look like rags after just a few washes. I would like to see the quality of the material improve.
I really like this jacket: the length, weight, and in particular the rich turquoise color. My usual size medium was a perfect fit. Can wear it over a tee and later on in winter put a thicker jacket on over it. This is an excellent layering item. Thanks llbean.
