Reading a recent review, a customer mentioned using a dryer sheet with polar fleece. Manufacturers of polar fleece fabric state dryer sheets should not be used with this fabric. The chemicals on dryer sheets break down this particular type of fabric. A very short toss in the dryer and hanging to air dry is recommended. Only 2 or 3 minutes in the dryer is sufficient. Following this method will eliminate static cling, also.
Purchased this jacket in navy last year to layer. The fit is great, but the fleece is flimsy with a "cheap" black backing and it seems full of static as it attracts hair and lint like crazy. I am usually very pleased with your clothing, but this jacket just has the feel of a less expensive jacket and I would not purchase another one.
What happened to the fleece? It used to be really lightweight - the lightest available. You could use it as a mid-layer or for athletic activities - you know, "fitness" activity. It was perfect for travel - didn't take up much space. Now it's just like everyone else's lightweight fleece. It's fine, but nothing special. Too heavy for a proper mid-layer, and now I have no options for a really light fleece. I wish I had bought more several years ago.
I love these jackets. they wash really nice too. I wasn't happy with the forest green color. it looked different than the picture but I exchanged it for black and am very happy. I do wish they still had the fitness feece hoodies though. I loved them even more than the jackets
