What more can anyone say about fitness fleece? There are already more than 1200 reviews, after all. But I love these jackets! I own about 7 of them in different colors (and about 5 quarter zips). I just bought my second black one because the new longer length is more flattering than the shorter one from years ago. I live in these jackets during the Florida winter using them as outerwear outside and snugglewear inside. In the warmer months they are the perfect weight for staying comfortable indoors when the AC working overtime. They are so comfortable you can sleep in them. They are great for travel and are lightweight for packing restrictions. I always bring one on the plane and when the cabin is warm enough, I roll it into a handy lumbar pillow. The zip pockets make it possible for you to carry your cell phone without fear of it falling out. The little zip pocket on the sleeve is great for ID cards. I use it for my hotel room or cruise ship room key card when traveling. I wish Bean would offer more colors! Would like a Nautical Red. Also, LL Bean, please bring back your fitness fleece pants. They were fabulous too. I still wear the pair I bought about 5 years ago. I highly recommend the whole fitness fleece line.
As another reviewer pointed out, the radiant blue looks periwinkle - a lavender blue. It is very bright, but in a good way. I'm overweight, so I usually stick to the darker colors, but with the princess seams and slightly fitted style, I feel comfortable wearing it. It's not too tight and not too boxy.
The material is very soft and thin which is perfect for southern CA. Some might think the thinness is poor quality, but it's definitely not for my purposes (dog park and hiking). The sleeves are a touch long (perfect for when you get warm and want to tie it around your waist), so sometimes I fold the cuff over.
I ordered this Fitness Fleece on a whim, trying to find something that kept the chill at bay, yet doesn't make one overly warm while wearing indoors while active. It is perfect for work. So perfect in fact that I just ordered two more!! I like the thinness of the fleece, as well as the more 'slippery' interior, which glides over one's clothing. It is not bulky like most fleece, which was what I needed. The length was also an added bonus -- hitting just mid hip. I just love it!! It also washes and wears incredibly well with very little pilling. Fitness Fleece Rocks in my opinion!!
My package arrived today and there is only one word to describe this fleece jacket. "WOW" Softness of the material is incredible, the lightness is exactly what I was looking for in a jacket to chase the spring chill away and the color is vibrant. The sizing is perfect. Another homerun for LL Bean. .
