This is my first fitness fleece jacket and I like it a lot. It's as soft as its description (and lovely in the mulberry color). It is more fitted than I expected but not tight. For a long time I did not seriously consider this jacket because of the zippered pocket on the sleeve; but in reality that feature is really not very obvious. In fact, this jacket can be dressed up or down.
I have many of these type jackets, and the newer ones fit and wear better than the older ones. The newer ones have a nicer finish inside and out, and less pilling.
I ordered the jacket in plum tart, and it's not near as deep and rich as shown. I ordered one few years back and it seems paler now. It's OK, just not as shown, a little dissapointing. I do like that the fitness fleece is fairly thin, not bulky, makes for a great sweater around the house or under a jacket if it's not too cold outside.
The older version of this jacket are among my favorite pieces of clothing, so I was thrilled to get a new one for Christmas until I put it on. The new one is way too long, baggy in the armpits, and made from a much thicker and cheaper feeling fabric. Not up to old LLBean standards at all and I can buy thick, ill-fitting fleece for a lot less money elsewhere!
