I had purchased "a new to me-preowned" jacket and really liked it so much I had to go to my much loved LL Bean site-here-and search for the same to see what other colors it might be offered in. I got the black one and have the sage one is on order, asit will be nice for spring. What I like is that it is just so comfy, I wear it with the slim pants and will use it as a lightweight jacket over a tshirt or whatever you like. I am planning on wearing it when I am at the mall, shopping and won't want to walk around with a heavy coat. I really feel that this will "wear like iron" - I have machine washed it and dried it and there absolutely no shrinking! Very soft.. Next to the corduroy big shirts I love, this may well be my favorite item yet! I am 5'5 plus size, if you plan on layering it over a really thicker sweater, I would order the larger size up.A great find !!
Love the style and the peach sherbet color is terrific but the fit is off and the fabric is not what is was. This top is too long and unflattering where it hits lower now. Also the pockets are lower to they too are unflattering. The fabric, as has been noted is not the double sided it once was. shorten the back length and return to the fabric of three years ago and you would sell tons more Would rather pay a little more and go back to the LL Bean quality I always relied upon.
I just bought my 4th Fitness Fleece jacket. Why? Because they are perfect! Great fit, holds up well in the wash and beautiful colors. They are very comfortable too. Keep making them!
I ordered the Cayenne color in this jacket and I love the color! I wear my jacket with a cami or sleeveless shell under it and the fit is just as I hoped for. The seams and the (almost hidden) onseam pockets are very slimming. The inside of the fabric is smooth, so it is not fleeced like the outer fabric, but it is NOT lined (I found this confusing when read some of the other reviews that refer to the "lining"). I like the smooth inner fabric, especially in the sleeves where fleece could be binding for those who might choose to wear this with a long sleeved t-shirt. With about 4 washings I am finding that the fabric is balling a bit on this inside, but it is not bothersome against my skin. I am considering ordering the Sage color now.
