I have never had a negative thing to say about any LL Bean product. However, this fleece continues to shed and I find the plum color fleece on all of my other clothes even when I am not wearing the fleece. I love the lightweight and fit. However, I refrained from buying any other colors because of the shedding problem. I also mentioned it to a friend who had just bought a black one. She said she was going to return it because that would drive her crazy. I must say I never expected this poor quality from LL Bean.
I love this fleece jacket and I am pretty picky. It is just the right weight for indoors in place of a sweater, or to wear under a coat. It would be nice on early fall days, as well. The style is so flattering. It gives me a nice trim look. It looks like I have waistliine, which I really don't so much. It comes down just far enough to cover a protruding tummy. It's as comfy as can be. I got the mulberry color and like it a lot. I think I'll get another one, as well. Highly recommend.
I love the new longer length, and also the fabric which glides over any under layer. These are great for travel -- very light weight and versatile. I recently traveled in Asia for a month, taking only a carry-on bag, and this was my only sweater. It was appropriate for a range of activities, including dining out at nicer hotel restaurants, shopping, hiking, etc. My only complaint is the color selection -- pretty blah, with the exception of the dark blue and purple which are very pretty. I also ordered the red, but it was a washed out red, not a bright true red.
I own 4 of these and 1 vest. I've had no problems as reported in other reviews. I absolutely love Fitness Fleece! The weight is perfect for year round use. I am tall (5/11") and the Large is a perfect fit for me. While I also have 2 Comfort Fleece jackets, the Fitness Fleece is by far my favorite. Now, if LLBean would just bring back the VEST... please?
