This past spring I ordered a fitness fleece jacket. I've been buying them for years and love them (can almost wear them year round). Once again LL Bean has redesigned a beloved item (much like the Saturday T-shirt). First of all the sleeves go over my hands and there is no cuff so when I fold them back you can see the horrid nylon-ish lining which has a very cheap, fake-y feel. Then, this new style jacket goes over my hips (the originals sit at the top of the hips or just below the waist). What's going on at LL Bean? I've been a customer for decades (and my parents before that). If you need to restyle, put the restyled (longer sleeves, lengthier hems) in a separate collection. Please bring back the original fitness fleece - with the fleece interior - it doesn't need a lining! I'm just about done ordering clothes from LL Bean and may just order stuff like battery lamps, sleds, etc.

I bought one of these last year and another one this year. I love them because they fit so well (I am XL and short) and are light yet warm. I do not work out. They are not too casual looking and look like a nice jacket so I can wear them anywhere. I love the Plum color!

I own 5 fitness fleece 1/4 zip tops and LOVE them. fit, style, washability and comfort are all A+. Wanted to try the jacket but the interior is like a nylon and very full of static. the length is too long especially in the back so clings to the hip area - not flattering. the length of the ones I own seem about 2" shorter and do flatter.
Love the design and the peach sherbert color is great, but am sending back.
LL - please go back to the fleece throughout style and shorten up abit. No one looks good when a fabric like this hugs the hips
I own six of these. Love the fit and weight. The newest two, purchased in March 2012, continue to shed despite many many washings. The previous four were perfect in every way. Very disappointing.
