This is my second one of these. I live in AZ and these get me through most of the chilliest days in the winter and are great for travel because they are lightweight.
Lightweight, inside pockets as well as outer pockets make it a handy jacket for fall. I'd rather have a fabric with washing instructions telling me the fabric isn't so delicate that it must be washed on delicate cycle though. tumble dried on low and do not iron. The fabric is pretty but too easily ruined. I like stuff that can be handled with the regular wash, warm water and medium dryer heat.
At long last, the outstanding women's Fitness Fleece has the last feature it needed to be the perfect fitness/run-around jacket: zip-up side pockets! Already owned 3 fitness fleeces and many other LLBean fleeces/sweatshirts...but really needed a zip pocket for carrying cellphone, keys, ID, etc. when going out for a run (or just running around with a child in tow!) and the little pocket on upper sleeve is pretty useless. THANK YOU LLBean for finally putting real zip pockets on the fitness fleece.
I'd give it 5 stars, but the sleeves fit a tad awkwardly -- I think it needs the cuffed wristband of earlier jackets and/or to be just a bit (1/2-1") longer sleeves. Also not crazy that it gets "pilly" the first time dried in dryer -- recommend airdrying to keep "smooth" fleece look.
But, overall, a great product -- ESPECIALLY WITH THE ZIPPERED SIDE POCKETS! Looking forward to seeing it in more colors (chocolate brown, red) in the fall/winter!
