I have purchased several sets of the ultrasoft flannel sheets in the past several years. I loved these sheets so much that I even bought them as gifts. I have always loved these sheets. But just recently I purchased a flat ultrasoft flanned sheet. I washed it before using it and it had piling after the first wash. What a disappointment for me because the reason I loved these sheets was because there was never any piling EVER. I hope LL Bean is not using a cheaper quality.
This is excellent quality material that is incredibly soft. We use these sheets and pillow cases on a Queen-size bed, year-round and have experienced no pilling whatsoever. I highly recommend this product.
This is by far the softest flannel sheet I've ever owned. Even compared to other LLBean flannels (as well as competitors' flannels), this sheet is a winner. It's buttery soft and comfy. It did shed a lot the first few times I washed/dried it, but that was normal and to be expected.
I have had no trouble at all with pilling from these sheets. Have bought many sets, absolutely gorgeous for the winters here in Oz, so soft and cosy, also the duvet covers are the same, just fold around you like a warm, soft cocoon. Have also bought them for family who feel the same. Just wash in warm water and rinse in cold, line dry, no problems. Love LL Bean's products.
