wonderfully soft and warm sheets,pillowcases. Still look great after many washings. Use them all year up here in AK. Even gave a set to my mom who loves them. Will definitely by more of these sheets. Please don't discontinue them. Another wonderful product. My Jack Russels love them!
Have purchased many sets of flannel sheets for the soft warm comfort they provide year 'round, yet these are by far the most comfortable and softest sheets, flannel or no-flannel, we have ever crawled into. Even our kids crawl under the covers just to be smothered in "those wonderful sheets" and wonder why they can't have their own set to sleep in...who knows? My ONLY REGRET is that I now may have to get them for everyone's bed!
I've been sleeping on flannel sheets and nothing but for 20 years, and it all pills. These sheets do, in fact, pill more than most. I wouldn't consider this to be a problem if the catalog copy didn't advertise that they "resist" pilling - it's just not true. They also produce a truly fantastic volume of fluff and dust bunnies in the process.
They start off super-soft, as advertised, but when they pill (which they do, quickly, regardless of how they are washed) they rough up a bit. I would not agree that they feel like sleeping on sandpaper, though. I wonder if the people who commented on how rough they felt were used to sleeping on flannel at all - in my experience, it's generally a much more textured experience than sleeping on regular cotton percale or muslin sheets.
The colors are fabulous, and the sheets are a good fit (I have queen size).
If you're used to flannel sheets, and you want colors that you can't really get elsewhere, these are good. But don't buy them if you're looking for the Holy Grail of no-pill flannel.
