I tried these for a couple of months thinking that the pilling would go away after a few washes...they don't and they look worse than ever. Not the quality I'd expect from LL Bean.
I bought these flannel sheets on the basis that they did not pill. But, guess what, they do. After the first washing, the flannel became so rough from pilling that they are very uncomfortable, and I have colored flannel lint all over my bedroom. I would not buy these again.
As a frequent Bean customer, I couldn't wait to purchase a new set of flannel sheets. We had purchased some several years ago, and loved them, but since they were pricey to us, we bought lesser priced ones in the past few years. We still use the old ones and they are as soft and comfortable as can be. Since I was redoing my bedroom, and bought a Bean comforter, that I love, thought I would treat myself to the sheets in the new room colors. I can't believe how different they are then the others. They pilled after a few washes and are just as scratchy and uncomfortable as the cheaper ones I bought. 8((
These sheets are so soft and warm. I would give them the top rating, except that the bottom sheet has become very pilly over time. We have two sets of these sheets for different beds and one is fine, but the other has worn and become uncomfortable over time (kinda feels like sleeping in a sandy bed).
