My daughter gave me a set of these sheets for Christmas after reading the rave reviews. I am wondering if Bean is using a new vendor since the rave reviews. Mine says" made in Germany, cut and sewn in the Czech Republic".
My house is full of little white pills on the floor and they are on my clothes. I have only had them on the bed for 3 nights!! I am going to be checking my lint filter frequently when I wash them. Then I will be returning them.
I have never had a problem with an LLBean product before.
I have used LL Bean flannel sheets for years and have a set that is 14 years old and still going. I ordered a set last year and one this year and they are not the same sheets. They pilled badly and lost their softness after a night or 2 sleeping on them. Sadly, I switched to another brand.
These sheets are quite soft and warm but the pilling is terrible. The bedroom floor is speckled with slubs of flannel, there are pills in my hair when I get out of bed in the morning, and my husband's nightshirt is covered with shedding from these sheets. The pilling started with the very first use and got worse over time. It is SO uncharacteristic of LL Bean's products to be flimsy like this! I really hope they find a better vendor for their flannel bedding.
After decades of using and being very pleased with LL Bean flannel sheets, we are very disappointed with the extreme pilling we have experienced with the sheets and pillowcases we ordered and began using in September, 2008. We're taking advantage of the LL Bean guarantee and shipping them back.
