Many years ago I purchased flannel sheets, made in Portugal, from L.L. Bean and was very pleased with their quality. However, I am very disappointed in my recent purchase of the ulstrasoft flannel sheets. I have followed the washing and drying instructions and still they have pilled to the extent that they are uncomfortable to sleep on.
We bought this sheet in preparation for out-of-town guests and didn't tell them that the sheet was new or that it was purchased especially for them. In the morning when they got up I asked, "How did you sleep?" They said they slept great and then said, "That sheet you have is so soft! Where did you get it?"
