I have this set in King size in this vivid red for over 10 years I think, and yes, they do flannel off in dryer, and that is why we have lint traps. They remain strong and so so soft, all these years later, and are the only sheets one wants near the FACE! Thank You, a really good find. I want more of your flannels now as realized the guest beds have wicked scratchy lifeless flannels on, how embarrassing!
I bought these sheets because the reviews were wonderful. They came on Monday and they were so soft and cozy. I then was going to order 3 sets for Christmas. When I went to order I read all the more recent reviews about pilling. I opened up the bed and the pilling is awful before it is even washed!! LL Bean is willing to refund but nothing for the inconvenience.
I purchased the Bay Blue Ultra Flannel sheets and pillow cases and the quality is terrible. I've washed them twice and they are still full of lint. The amount of lint in the dryer could have caused a dryer fire. I didn't wash the flannel comforter cover yet, but from reviews I've been reading the same thing happens to it too.
I've been ordering from LL Bean over the years but never got a product that was so terrible.
