I bought my first set of flannel sheets from here last month. I never thought I would like flannel sheets, but was I surprised. These are very soft, wash well, and look great on the bed that requires deep pockets.
I bought the dark blue buffalo plaid/plain combo along with the butter cream comforter for myself and the brown combo for a Christmas gift. The web page where you can design the bedding was VERY helpful in making up my mind.

I've had these sheets maybe four years now, so I cannot vouch for the most recent incarnation. They were so incredibly thick and fluffy out of the package, and have remained pretty much thick and fluffy throughout. I love them so much that they get a lot of wear: I pretty much retired my other two sets of "winter sheets" to the linen closet. I did notice that the bottom sheet is starting to get less fluffy where I lay so last year I started marking the sides so I could switch them out from the left to right side, top to bottom to delay excessive wear as long as possible: this to say they definitely ARE cotton sheets and not indestructible even though they wear well.
The fitted lower sheet is very deep on the corners, excessively for me, but great for those who have thick mattresses. The top folded edge of the top flat sheet would do best with ironing to lie flat and look spiffy folded over: if there's one thing one could fault these sheets for is that they are so thick they really fill up the dryer and thus tend to crinkle a bit: you should take them out several times and rearrange them in the dryer so they dry more evenly.
I admit that a large factor in loving my sheets and using them full time all fall winter and spring is the incredibly warm lovely color of orange and red plaid that LL Bean has removed from its lineup, very sadly. The color of my sheets is just so warming emotionally in the winter. If you find used ones, snap them up. And LL Bean, please consider bringing that color back.
Just received, washed up nicely! No excessive lint shedding. I like them so much I ordered another set. Great for thick mattresses, I have a 5 inch thich memory foam topper over a quite thick mattress and the sheet tuck in nicely, great size
I have purchased numerous sets of sheets from LLBean. I purchased these sheets in the fall and are all ready piling and showing wear. The set I purchased last year are in much better shape. My previous LLBean flannel sheets lasted over 10 years!
