We should have looked at the reviews of these sheets before ordering. These sheets are horribly disappointing. We have washed the sheets twice and have slept on them for 7 nights. The piling is ridiculous and when the husband made the bed this morning, his fingers poked right through the sheets. We are exhanging these for the Evergreen flannel sheets, which have good reviews, and hope these are a much better product.

These sheets are so soft and warm it is unbelievable!! They are excellent quality with no pilling or shrikage. I loved them so much I ordered a second set.
I have been using flannel bedding, winter and summer, for about 40 years. I feel competent to offer advice about it. Even the flannel bedding produced in the U.S. (back when it still was) does not compare with this Portuguese flannel; it is softer, denser & more long-wearing than any other I have used. It is generously sized & does not shrink up to handkerchief size. It does fade when bleached, but actually, that adds to its charm.
ordered bay leaf plaid... also ordered bay leaf solids to match (so much plaid would be harsh on the eyes!) and the colors are COMPLETELY different (and unfortunately, neither matches my comforter, so both will be going back)
