I wanted a chair that was easy to clean, light enough to move around without too much effort and made in the USA for our family room. This chair met those criteria was a good value. It's sturdy and looks nice. The cushions are stuffed with foam and so not as comfy as some but they are not uncomfortable. The chair does recline but not as far as our other Morris Chair. It looks very much like the photo and is made from ash wood. All in all, a good purchase.
Just the chair for reading comfort in front of the soapstone wood stove! Firm cushions along with the adjustable back is indicative of the mission style furniture of form, fit & function. A classic delight. Very impressed with the quick shipping, ease of assembly and packaging.
This is my third piece of Mission Furniture and just like the ottoman and entertainment center, it was easy to put together, is very sturdy and has nice Mission lines. I bought the chair for a place to do reading, it is firm and the wooden arms make it easiy to support yourself when getting up. The cushions do not move around much, however, my one suggestion would be to add ties or velcro so they are sure to stay in place. The material matches the ottoman perfectly although they were not purchased together, that was a big plus. The material is soft but durable and a nice pattern not at all overwhelming or loud. The chair is worth the money; I would purchase other pieces from the collection.
