Don't Pack without These!
PostedJune 20, 2012
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, great organizational tool
I cannot say enough good things about these Ultralight Packers. My husband was amazed at how much easier it made packing for him. The see-through mesh allows you to find items easily. Frankly, I loved these so much that my husband and I have multiple sets. I also gave family members sets of these, and they were thrilled with the idea. You can decide whether to pack outfits together or separate tops and bottoms and underwear into different colors or sizes. It keeps organization of your suitcase at a maximum, especially if you have to "live out of your suitcase" for several days. The quality of each packer is terrific, with zippers that slide easily. When traveling by plane, it makes it easy for TSA personnel to look through your bag, and for everything to go back into the suitcase quickly and neatly!! I will NEVER travel without these handy packers again! Moreover, these packers could be used in drawers to keep items together or to separate out seasonal clothing.....use your imagination!

Ultralight Packers a/k/a Packing Cubes
PostedJune 12, 2012
ProsDurable, Great Value, Performing as Expected, a must for any travel
I looked at these for years and never thought I would use them. I wish I would have had these for years.
A couple of weeks ago my husband and I returned from a 2 week road trip within Alaska. Our trip consisted of staying 2 nights at numerous destinations.
We used the large (him) and Medium (me) to pack 2 days worth of clothes in. We each packed three cubes. We shared on small and one large suitcase. We put one of each of our cubes and each of our toiletry kits in the small suitcase and the other packing cubes in the large suitcase.
At each destination we just took in the small suitcase and left the large one in the trunk of the car. This made packing and unpacking at each (of many) destinations so much easier with just minimal things, we really enjoyed the trip without the hassle of all the packing, unpacking and reorganizing!
When we would go to leave we would switch out the cubes from the small suitcase (now with dirty clothes) with new cubes from the large suitcase, ready for the next destination.
About halfway through our trip it was time to do laundry. We simply took the cubes that had our dirty clothes down to the hotel laundry room, washed the clothes and packed our cubes back again and started the whole process over.
We also pack in these when we go up river by boat to our summer camp on the weekends. We just each pack one and add it to our L.L. Bean Turbo Transit II Backpacks (best backpacks too!).
We both use the small cubes in our backpacks daily to keep them organized. Where we are in Alaska our daily live consists of travel by ATV and boat (summer) and snowmachine (winter) or plane year around as we are not on the Alaska highway system so backpacks are daily essentials.
Also use the fleece lined packers for items that need a little more protection from damage or simply the exposure to the cold temps (e.g. extra batteries, gps units, marine radios).
