"I bought these underwear for my husband because he is originally from Georgia and hates the cold. I bought both the crewneck and the pants and the pants were a much better investment because he wore them for a week straight, they did not smell or anything. Finally he threw them in the wash and wears them to sleep, outside, and they fit GREAT under all of his pants!"

"I purchased the Polartec silkweights three years ago for my son as a Christmas gift. He told me that in his work, being indoors and then outdoors all day, these are just the right weight to keep him comfortable. "I ordered these for my husband to wear under his dress pants. He recently had surgery and gets chilled easily. These are nice and light and allows him to wear his regular slacks and still keep warm without overheating. When ordering, I couldn't find whether they had a fly or not --they do have a fly opening!"

"My husband bought a pair of these pants after not finding the silk pair (also LLBean) in stock at an area retail LL Bean. He liked the silk ones so much that he was reluctant to try them, but he has since enjoyed them to the point where I just ordered another pair for him, and two for my son. They are happy with how weightless, warm, and moisture repellent they are...I'm happy with their durability. The silk pair have all developed holes along the sides, and weren't nearly as warm."

"I love these pants! Worn daily since purchase. Comfortable, thin, fit well under chinos or jeans. Keeps you toasty but they breathe. Recent temps have been low single digits to low 30's. "They insulate as they should. I am short and have about a 40" waist. Contrary to Bean's chart, I ordered the M size as I was afraid that the L size would be too long in the leg. Even with my waist, the M was OK, and the length was also fine. Bean's might include an actual inseam length for your long underwear pants."

"I got these pants about 3 years ago. As with most LL Bean products they still look the same as the first day I wore them. I usually don't wear them for a long period of time because they are very well insulated and I get hot, but on a very cold day they are wonderful."
