This is GREAT stuff! Silky feel. Light weight. You could feel the warmth as you put them on. Not too hot, just right for those "in between" days when you want a little more warmth, but don't want to be hot on the slopes!
When the outside temp goes into the 20's F or lower, I need to wear long underware. I have several pair of heavy cotton ones that help to keep my legs warm but they are bulky. I find the polartec silkweight very light and they do the job of keeping my aging legs warm.
I bought these when I realized I forgot to bring any with me on a recent snowshoeing day trip. I wore only these and uninsulated rain pants, it was between 20 and 25 degrees out, and I was plenty warm. I was more than impressed. I will definitely be purchasing another pair!
I have purchased these before and my husband wanted more. He says they're so comfortable, feel soft against his skin, and do not add bulk to his work uniform. He does a lot of walking at work and these are the ones he always chooses. Also, they fit ncely under his jeans, for weekend wear,. They wash beautifully as well and last much longer than the bargain brands.
