The backpack seems to be sturdy and rolls well. The biggest issue we are having (and this is Day 1) is the fabric covering the zippers (a good idea in theory) covers the zipper too much and gets caught when you go to zip or unzip the sections. My concern is that it's going to get caught when the student is in a rush trying to zip up and go somewhere. Perhaps the design team can rework this issue. Also, it would be nice to have as many color choices in the wheeled bags as in the regular backpacks.
Yes that is right I even backed over my son's he left it by the door as we where leaving camp. Got in over the bag btw and left it there. It was just fine
I love these backpacks, but I cannot convince my daughter on these colors! Why are there only two colors? Why is the only girlish color so similar to last year's? Do you think sisters want the exact same colored backpack? Come on llbean, you are letting me down!
The usual fine quality of LLBean goods is marred only by the very short handle on this bag (obviously designed for a 5-foot, or less, child) and the badly designed zippers, which catch on the overlapping folds of cloth every time we go to retrieve or stow something – very annoying.
