While I like this bag a lot and it lasted through 2 school years for both my boys, I do have to say that I am not that fond of the "satisfaction guarantee". I did like these, but will be returning due to the zipper tearing and the fabric separating. I want to exchange them for the same thing, however I am now looking at paying over $30 more difference from when I orginally bought them. Sure $30 isn't much for the durability these go though, but I have to repay for monogramming too. I was hoping to see the cost go down to what I paid before, but that doesn't look like it will happen.
My 7 year old is ROUGH on everything he owns. This backpack has survived him for the whole school year - yes he's so rough he goes through one of THESE a year - but it's the only one that has made it. He's tested the wheels, fabric and handle, and they are all 100% intact after a year of dragging, curb hopping, bunny hopping, you name it! :) This is our go-to backpack EVERY year.
Loved this until the zippers broke after 2 years. First in one place (was still useable) and now in two places (unuseable). Used only about 4 times a year (as luggage). Bummed because I have 3 others of the same pack.
This backpack is so durable. My son is starting on his fourth year of use. It still shows very little wear and tear. I am ordering one for my second son who has had the deluxe backpack for three years. The only problem we have is that the kids don't get new packs as often as they want because these last so long. We use them for travel when we retire them. I love ll bean packs!
