I bought four of these in the last two years. They hold up *beautifully* with my kids who transport so much weight in books it is crazy. Wheels, material, stiching, zippers, everything gets 5 stars. I did however just review the matching lunchboxes, which I found SO disappointing. The zippers broke on 3 ou of 4. So today I give stellar remarks regarding the backpacks and average remarks regarding the lunchboxes. Go figure, the quality wasn't consistent. But, you can feel confident about spending a few extra bucks on these rolling backpacks as they last a long time.
I was put off by the price of this rolling backpack compared to prices I've seen elsewhere, but with LL Bean's rep and guarantee, I went for it. Upon arrival, I was kind of expecting the nylon to be of the heavier Cordura variety. We shall see how it holds up. As a previous reviewer mentioned, a water bottle holder would be a good addition. I did notice the potential for the zipper to get snagged in the rain flap. My workaround is to keep the rain flap folded back. The retractable handle and wheels appear to be of higher quality than most other rolling backpacks. Regardless of the durability videos, a backpack should be treated with some respect.
Its really a great backpack in my opinion. I brought this splendid pack for my ten year old daughter, Angella and she says she really loves it. I love the quality and color choice and especially the beautiful monograming. My only suggetion is that they should add a waterbottle net at the side of the backpack. Otherwise, Awsome Backpack!!!!!
so disappointed...beautiful backpack but when my daughter came home from her first day of school, she said it would not fit in her locker so she couldn't close the locker door. We will have to shop around for another pack, unfortunately.
