My now 9 year old daughter has had this backpack for 2 school years. Although she could STILL use the same one, I have ordered a new one for this school year. I will let her use her old one for trips. These are unbelievably sturdy and can withstand children's roughness. It is very roomy and it can fit her sweatshirt, lunchbox and books. I have already recommended this purchase to all my friends.
I was tired of buying a new backpack for my daughter every 3 to 4 months. She attended a college prep Jr. and Sr. High school, lot's of book's, big books, much homework along with also being an athlete, volleyball,basketball,track. She also was in the speech and debate teams. This backpack saw her through 6 years and still looks pretty darn good!! Her friends and other classmates would kid her about having everything in there that she needed, be it facial tissue, hand sanitizer, extra pen's, pencil's you name it, it is just that roomy to carry extras. Now she will be going to college in the fall and one thing she won't need is a backpack. The best investment I have made as far as school supplies.
The quality in this backpack is unsurpassable. I tried two others from top named companies and this is the one I decided on. Six months after purchasing and my two girls' packs look brand new. Great wheels and this will last years!
I bought this backpack for my 4th grader in March (3 Months Ago). She had a Critter Pack that lasted for a few years that I was EXTREMELY happy about, so I wanted to try this one (demand for a larger backpack).
First problem, the pack was much too large and heavy for my petite 10 year old. She struggled with it even when it was semi-empty. We figured we'd look the other way, because she seemed to like it.
Next problem, the pull-up handle wouldn't go all the way down after about a month. I think the frame somehow got bent!
But the kicker? The wheel fell off yesterday!
I know that they will accept a return, because they have great customer service, but I don't know if I'll be buying another of these bags as a replacement. :(
