I bought the rolling deluxe book bags for my twins entering the 5th grade. They went through 3 rolling bags each from local stores last year. These bags are the greatest! They have held up and still look great. The will be able to use them another year. I have never purchased a backpack that lasted more than one school year. I am going to purchase one of these for my daughter entering 3rd grade next year. If you are wondering about spending the money it is well worth it. These are the best rolling bags for kids out there.
Purchased this for my daughter, now in 4th grade, almost 2 yrs ago & still going strong. Previously had the non-rolling version which we cannot wear out so it's used for camping, etc. This pack will likely last another 2 yrs+ of rough use. Younger daughter has had non-roll version for 4 yrs, still great but will need to upgrade to rolling next year. Wouldn't buy any other pack. The non-roll version has even been in the washer several times.
My grandson, in the 3rd grade, has been using this book pack for 6 months and it still looks new. The wheels are holding up as he walks to and from school. It is big enough to hold everything he needs. I plan to purchase this product for my other grandchildren.

She wanted the sky blue. Nice colour. The bag is durable. They have no lockers in the elementary school. All her school items are either in her small desk, or in this pack. The material and zippers are tough and get a regular workout. This is the first year they allowed rolling backpacks in her school. I feel it was about time, as the kids were burdened with heavy packs to and from school daily. Now she just walks and her heavily laden bag follows. The bag takes the entry and exiting of the bus just fine. The wheels are durable, and quiet, as she is often able to "sneak" to the front door with out us hearing her. She has used this bag for over 3 months now, and it looks as good as the day it arrived. We have even used it traveling. Another quality L.L. Bean product I would recommend to anyone.
